Why Silicone? Silicone molecules are larger and don't absorb into skin as quickly as water-based formulas. This means longer-lasting lubrication without sticky residue. ULEX® uses medical-grade silicone lubricant tested for sensitive skin.
Lubricant Safety: What to Avoid
⚠️ NEVER Use Oil-Based Lubricants
- • Baby oil, mineral oil, petroleum jelly (Vaseline)
- • Coconut oil, olive oil, butter, lotions
- • Massage oils with petroleum base
Why? Oil degrades latex within 60 seconds, increasing breakage risk by up to 90%. Always use water-based or silicone-based lubricants with latex condoms.

What lubricant is used on ULEX® condoms?+
ULEX® condoms are pre-lubricated with premium, hypoallergenic silicone lubricant. Silicone lubricant is longer-lasting than water-based alternatives and safe for use with latex condoms.
Can I add more lubricant?+
Yes. You can apply additional water-based or silicone-based lubricant to ULEX® condoms. Never use oil-based lubricants (baby oil, coconut oil, petroleum jelly) as they degrade latex and increase breakage risk.
Is silicone lubricant safe for sensitive skin?+
Yes. ULEX® silicone lubricant is hypoallergenic, dermatologically tested, and free from parabens, glycerin, and spermicides. It's gentler than many water-based lubricants that can cause irritation.
Lubricated vs non-lubricated — which is better?+
Lubricated condoms reduce friction and increase comfort for most users. Non-lubricated condoms allow you to apply your own lubricant. ULEX® condoms come optimally lubricated, but you can always add more if needed.
