Condom Storage Guide
Why Storage Matters
Latex is an organic material that degrades under adverse conditions. A condom stored incorrectly — even before its expiry date — may have compromised strength, elasticity, or lubrication.
The Golden Rules
✅ Cool and Dry
Store ULEX® condoms at room temperature (15–25°C). Avoid bathroom cabinets directly above showers — steam and humidity degrade latex.
✅ Away from Direct Sunlight
UV light accelerates latex oxidation. Store in a drawer, bedside table, or sealed box.
✅ In Original Packaging
The individual foil wrapper and outer box protect ULEX® condoms from light, air, and physical damage. Keep them sealed until use.
✅ Check the Expiry Date
ULEX® Premium Condoms have a 5-year shelf life from manufacture date. Check both the box and individual wrapper before use.
Common Mistakes
❌ Wallet Storage
Body heat + friction = latex degradation. A condom kept in a wallet for more than a few days may be compromised. Use a small case or store in your bag.
❌ Car Glove Box
Temperatures in a parked car can exceed 60°C in summer — far above the safe storage limit for latex.
❌ Near Sharp Objects
Keys, pins, or coins can puncture the foil wrapper, exposing the condom to air and potential damage.
❌ Freezing
Extreme cold makes latex brittle and prone to tearing.
ULEX® Packaging Design
ULEX® Premium Condoms are sealed in heat-resistant foil wrappers with a clear expiry date printed on both the individual wrapper and the outer box. The 14-pack format means less frequent packaging openings compared to single-pack storage.
How to Check if a Condom Is Still Good
- Check the expiry date
- Feel for the air cushion in the wrapper — it should feel slightly puffed
- Open carefully — the condom should be pliable and elastic, not brittle or sticky
